yikes. to my 3 faithful followers, haha... I'm sorry I lost my momentum of writing in my blog while I was still in Rome trying to update you on my trip to London and Ingatested. Trying to work on a slow lap top like the one we had access to wasn't very fun and it was very discouraging. Nevertheless, all of you are my friends on facebook, so you've seen the pictures. I won't write anymore since the blog partially fulfilled its purpose and my life isn't that interesting ever since I've been back. ha ha. It was fun while it last and I'll keep it to ever so often be able to read it and take myself back to the memories of my trips. Unforgettable, indeed and I sincerely hope to return to London in the future!
how they say in Britain... TARA!

a day i would like to forget...but the next one was better :)
Ok, so while I am back in Rome after being in London for 4 1/2 days (lets say)... I am going to split up our experience in different posts. I dont think anything much interesting will happen in Rome, in terms of sightseeing, but whatever is left in our trip I will also blog about. :)
Ok, so let me start with Tuesday. We were scheduled to leave from Ciampino airport early Tue morning. Around 5:30 or 6 AM. We ended up leaving on a 4 PM flight due to technical difficulties or something...but in the end I guess it worked out for the best since it was pouring while we were stuck at the airport. Once we finally got on our flight and approached the U.K., man was it a beautiful sight! not just because we had pretty much wasted our day and it was a relief to finally reach our destination, but because really, the UK is beautiful! It has a lot of trees, green pastures, flowers everywhere and it is just so nice.
Ok so we landed, got on the underground (more on that later), took a bus and finally reached our bed and breakfast for that night. We were only staying Tue night because we were going to meet up my cousin who is currently moving to Ingatestone. Ok, as I was saying, we got to the bed and breakfast (near Hyde park), found something to eat, by now it was past 8 PM and the last meal we´d had was 9 AM so as you can imagine, we were STARVED. We got our food, went back to our B&B, saw CSI: NY & Miami, and finally called it a night.
Next morning got up, got some breakfast, got ready and out we went. We once again got on the underground or the tube, whichever you prefer, and headed for Buckinham palace. Now Paula and I had to carry arund our luggage throughout the day because we really didnt have another option. So there we went on the tube draggin around our luggage up and down the stairs, going to different platforms, taking different colored lines and finally reached what I recall and believe is Green Park. Man, I havent seen such a nice park in a long time. The day was so nice - sunny and cool. Not a single evidence of my allergies in sight. So we began our short walk and when we finally reached Buckingham Palace, let me tell you it did not take my breath away. Sorry, but its true. I just went: "hmm thats it?!" I dont know what kind of expectations I had, but whatever they were, I guess I was kind of let down. And no, we didnt see the queen nor did we find a guard to tickle. Anyway, we took our pictures and continued walking. Our next stop was the Parliament and Big Ben. Now while on our way there we went through St. James Park. Ahhh, I am absolutely IN LOVE with their parks!! I dont know, there is just something magical about London and their parks. Its clean, bright, crisp, fresh, and just beautiful, really.
When I finally saw Big Ben and the Parliament, can I tell you that I let out a huge gasp followed by an "oh my, we are here! I am here!! its so cool and wow!" yeah - sounded like a huge dork, but thats how it went.
We stayed in the area about 40 mins. Just taking pictures of everything. We did see the London Eye, but a bit far. Since we stayed around Big Ben for so long, we managed to hear it strike noon. It was a special moment. Ok, so afterwards, we went to get some lunch because we were starving, again. Can I just say how delicious it was to buy a sandwich at a deli? Absolutely. Granted, her majesty was straining my budget at first with her pounds, but I realized its all relatively expensive.
Ok, so we bought our food and headed to St. James park again for a little picnic. It was nice to see other people enjoying their lunch hour just as much as we were. :)
Ok, I hate to end things so abruptly, but its getting late here in Rome and I still have to shower (we are back to guacal situation), but nevertheless, I will write another blog tomorrow about London and Ingatested. Ahhh, gorgeous Ingatested. I am definitely grateful I got to see another side of the UK.
Until next time...

My feet have never hurt so much...
As they did yesterday. I cannot walk properly today because my left calf muscle cramps us every time I try to walk. argh and ouch! Ok, I have so much to write about and I am about a day and a half behind. Let's see... I cant remember if I wrote about going to the beach? OK, I did. Before I go on, I have left out a few stories to tell about our first night here.
1.) We had a thunderstorm the first night we were here. Paula wanted to take pictures but after going out on the balcony, she quickly came back in startled because there was a bat who was flying in and out of the balcony. She took a picture and you mig ht see it.
2.) Shower situation. We bathe, really. Thats a liberal term cause we cant really shower the way we are used to doing it. My cousin has a tub and a shower head. However, there is no curtain and the shower head isnt attached to the wall. We couldnt figure out how to make this work. We both made a mess and a semi flood in the bathroom. Finally by our second shower-bath friday night, we had developed a system, get a guacal. funny, right? yeah, we thought so too, but hey- it works and we are not making a mess in the bathroom. water isnt going everywhere, but staying within the space it was meant to stay. the bathtub.
Ok, so let me start about yesterday. We were out by 930 in the morning. My cousin, Elena Patricia or Patrizia, managed for her cousin/aunt to help us get around Rome. We took whats known as the Metropolitana. Its pretty cheap to get around. Only 1 EUR per trip. Thats way cheaper than back home, even. OK, so once at our destination, we wanted to drink a cappucino and have a cornete or a croissant. Unfortunately for us, we managed to get a cheap cappucino at a McDonalds. Needless to say, we were pretty disappointed because we had actually experienced the taste of a very well done and yummy cappucino, so to be handed a cheap version such as a McDonalds one, was a bummer! After breakfast we walked over to Piazza Venezia, then went into the Basilica Di (cant remember the name), then headed over to the Colosseo, saw the Arco Di Tito, Arco di Constantino, Foro Romano, Foro Triano, Trevi Fountain and the Palatino Foro Imperiali. Isnt that a lot for one day?!! Ahh yes, I think so. My feet yesterday were definitely going to fall off!!
Let me google some pictures and put them here so you can get an idea of what we saw:
Piazza Venezia:

Colosseum:

Arco Di Tito:

Fontani di Trevi:

Foro Romano:

Palatino:

Now things are so exciting to see them in person! I think we kind of wanted less people (yeah yeah... not being realistic) but yesterday was the day of the Republic, kind of like our independence day, so people were out and about! The day was great. Sunny and warm. One thing Paula & I have noticed is that her and I tend to feel more comfortable not wearing sweaters or jackets in 60 degree weather, so when we are pretty much 2 of the few who arent wearing a jacket or sweater, we feel like we are sticking out like sore thumbs. Anyway, as I was saying, it was exciting to see all of these monumental and historical places. I think to this day, it hasnt hit us 100% that we are here. I know, I know... we have been here for 3 1/2 days and still we have to wrap our minds around this amazing trip! Alas, I digress again from how we felt about being in the city. Okay, so we hadnt planned on going inside the Colloseum or anything else. We just wanted to see where things were, get an idea and come back. Luckily our plans changed quickly when we were offered a tour of the Colloseum, the Palatino and the Foro Romano all for 10 Euro. Now thats a bargain! Usually just to go inside the Colosseum is about 12 Euro, to go into the Foro is about 10 and maybe another 10 for the Palatino. See what a good deal that was?!
It really was incredible to hear the history of everything, look at old pictures, and just be there. I can say "Ive been there and it is absolutely incredible!"
After all that we went to get some lunch. Now the food here is just different. Its fresh and unlike anything I am used to back home. There is respect for the food here. To maintain its natural flavors as much as possible. I wish I could take some for everyone so you can see what I mean. Well, luckily for my family, the will be able to taste the pastries and see at least in terms of dessert how delightful they are.
Ok I have to end this here. The computer is about to overheat and I dont want to lose this post, so I will bid you farewell.
Hope you enjoy the updates and will continue this again when possible!

First day, second night in bella italia...
Ahh, can I tell you how frustrating it is to not have a fast computer to type in? I think I have just been spoiled in the U.S.A. with having instant pretty much everything! Nevertheless, I am still beyond ecstatic to be here and still trying to update those who want to know what Paula and I are up to here in Italy. I will try to write as much as I can, though a disclaimer: I may be tired from the activities of the day so my grammar & spelling are not going to be great. I may have run on sentences that dont necessarily make sense, but i hope you find reading about our adventures a good thing :)
Okay, jet lag definitely kicked in for me last night. Paula was tired, but I think I had it just a little bit more. We went to bed around 11:45 PM, which is around 5:30 PM. We had an amazing dinner. Pasta with the italian equivalent of what is bacon back home (I forgot what it is), bruschetta (just toasted bread, olive oil and a piece of tomato. so good!), mortadella, more bread, prosciutto, and a bit of white wine. Everything was AWESOME. Anyway, back to what I was saying regarding our bed time. We laughed at the thought of going to be so early back home, but we couldnt help it. I first woke up around 9:30 am and attempted to wake up Paula. She mumbled o something and went back to bed, so I figured I could sneak in a few more minutes. Yeah, those minutes turned into about 2 hrs later. We woke up close to noon and let me tell you, that was not easy. We had the most awesome sleep we could ask for and I truly believe we could have slept more. We forced ourselves out of the most comfortable sofabed we were in and got it together. My cousin´s mother in law was kind enough to make us a fresh pot of espresso. Now, I dont know who has had espresso, but if you have never had it, let me tell you, it is absolutely delicious! That definitely woke us up in less than 30 seconds. Along with our espresso, we were munching on cookies. Simple, but what a delish breakfast.
Finally we got ready to go out. We werent sure where we were going to go, but we werent going to waste our day. I mean we had already woken up super late! Anyway, shortly after we were ready, my cousin arrived with my second cousin or niece, whichever, Vittoria. Now let me tell you a bit about Vittoria. She is an absolute sweetheart! She was shy at first and Paula managed to grab her attention a bit sooner than I did because she managed to communicate in Italian with her and that set Vittoria at ease a bit faster. However, being an awesome 5 year old, she eventually warmed up to me and is even teaching me Italian. I have to say it in Spanish or English and she repeats what I say in Italian. Isnt she the greatest?! Ahh, I love her! She loves all the Disney princesses, but her favorite is Bella from Beauty and the Beast. She loves to laugh, joke around, have fun and just be a normal 5 year old litte girl. She is taking ballet classes so she loves to dance and jump around. She has a lot, but i mean, A LOT of energy! She is absolutely wonderful.
Okay so we had lunch (yummy pizza) and out we went. My cousin took us to the beach. It only took us about 15 to 20 mins to get there and no matter where we go, we love the scenery. Italy has a smell. I wish I could bottle it up and take it with me so that whenever I want, I could release a bit of it to bring back all these moments. Alas, I digress. My cousin took us to drink a cappuccino, which was absolutely delicious. It did the trick for me since I was suddenly starting to get sleepy again. Right after we went to a restaurant to eat some gelato. OH MY... let me tell you... having gelato in Italy was a happy moment. I think I will overuse the word word delicious a bit in this post, but it truly was delicious. :)
After finishing our gelatos, we went for a walk on the beach. I believe its called Ostea. We managed to take awesome pictures and while I would love to share some with you, I am not going to risk it with such a slow computer. I am truly sorry, but once I get home I will update each post with corresponding pictures so you can see and experience each post a bit differently than the first time you read it. I promise! Ok, so after our walk, we hoped on a little train that took us around the area. It was a different way to experience Ostea, but still beautiful.
After we got off the train, we went for a small walk on the boardwalk, then hoped back into the car and made our way home. We got home, got comfortable, played with Vittoria a bit, ate some italian milanesas, salad, bruschetta, spinach with lemon and olive oil and water. yum!
Now its time for us to go to bed for we have an exciting day tomorrow! we are headed to Rome with a friend of my cousin´s who is also from El Salvador and resides in Rome, as well.
I will try to keep you updated as much as possible. So far we are 2 for 2. I cant make any promises it will continue this way, but I will update my twitter or facebook whenever there is a new post.
I love you for reading this and hopefully in some way, I manage to draw a mental picture. I know, I know. It is hard to do so without any pictures, but I cant risk having this computer crash because then how will I keep you updated? See? lets not risk it.
God bless you all, may you have a great weekend, I know Paula and I will (sorry for rubbing it in, but I dont get a chance to do it so being in Rome, I definitely will whenever possible. Ha ha ha ;) so until next time... arrividerci & buena notte.
xoxo from Italy.

We made it
After months of anticipation, countdowns, giggles, excitement, anxiousness, lists of things to pack, several shopping trips, debating whether or not to exchange money.... we made it to Italy! Ahh, what a relief it is to be here!
Okay, so many know how much Paula and I have been anticipating the arrival of our big vacation. Once we had said our goodbyes to our families and found ourselves past the security point and walking into a long tunnel to make it to our gates, it still didn't hit us that we were there.
Our first stop was London. We boarded our flight on an enormous British Airways plane, we still found ourselves not believe we were headed for our first destination. Being a first time traveler with BA, I found that they were definitely my new favorite airline. They're friendly, provide great service, comfortable seating and new movie releases for you to watch. Paula and I were happy. They even showed you facts about the altitude, how far we had traveled, what was left, etc.
While we were unable to get a full night's rest, we did manage to catch some peaceful slumber in intervals. However, no trip can go unhitched. Unfortunately for Paula who suffers from motion sickness, being in a 6+ hr flight wasn't the greatest. She wasn't feeling too great. Our knees hurt from being in the same position, I even thought for a moment I didnt have my lower right leg attached to me anymore due to the lack of circulation. Thankfully however, we finally made it to London, 5 hours ahead. It felt weird! Anyway, we finally made it out of the huge plane (we were in the back), managed to walk up and down all sorts of escalators leading to our transfer point. We took a shuttle that led us to the right place. Once there, we found ourselves in another security point, but with interesting shops ahead. There was Harrod's (super chic), Chanel, Bvlgary, Coach, etc.
Finally it was time to board our scheduled flight of 12:40 pm (UK time - about 7:40 am DC time). Now we took another British Airways flight, but this time it was different. I was expecting the nice comfortable seating, etc as before, but rather found ourselves crowded, nearly the back of the plane, no space to put our carry on and we were starting to feel the sleep deprivation.
Unfortunately, Paula once again suffered motion sickness and while I tried to help her as much I could, the only thing that helped her was finally landing in Rome and getting out of the crowded plane. I felt so bad. She was just overwhelmed with not feeling her greatest, I wanted her to bask in the moment of the realization of where we had finally arrived. Luckily and thankfully, she was able to get past her nausea soon thereafter and enjoy the fact we had landed in the place we had dreamt of being for years!
We were ecstatic! we couldn't believe we were in Rome! What a dream come true!
Our next task was finding my cousin. Actually, it was finding a meeting point for her to pick us up. After dragging our heavy luggage across the airport, Paula being the awesome person she is and her knowledge in the Italian language managed to help us find the right person (my cousin's friend Antonella) and eventually communicate with my cousin. Unfortunately for my embarrassment, after Antonella handed me the phone to speak to my cousin, instead of saying "grazie" like any other person would know how to say, I said "prego" PREGO. Why? I dont know! I wasnt thinking straight. Its funny cause I said it as confident as I possibly could fooling myself into thinking I was doing something right. Prego means your welcome. Not thank u! Ay ay ay... i know! Utter embarrasment. I told Paula and she laughed at me. Not with me...just at me. Fine. Its okay. I laughed too.
Ok, I have to end my story here. Its late, almost 11 PM local time, so that means its about 7 PM back in DC. Oh man. Jet lag is no fun.
Until next time... arrivederci! (and yes, that is actually right. I just asked Paula)
Toodles from somewhere close to Rome.

Toodles from somewhere close to Rome.

busy, busy, busy
: Florence :

Ok... I haven't really posted anything (does anyone even read this? ha ha) because I've been busy with work and last minute purchases for my house and my cousin's arrival next week. I don't know how I'd fit being into school this semester, but this just confirms that God is in control of my life and knows why I didn't manage to go to school this semester. (that's another post some other time).
I'm beyond ecstatic for my cousin's arrival next Tuesday! I haven't seen him in a long time, so the fact that I can have some days off work (for the most part - I will still be working from home for a few hours) and enjoy most of my days getting to know new places I haven't had the chance to go to or have been to before but it's like going for the first time since most of the museums and sight-seeing places change, it's going to be a nice break. Thank God my cousin is giving me a reason to take a well-deserved break! His arrival also solidifies the fact that my trip is coming along smoothly and will be arriving pretty soon! That's also a very exciting part of my life I cannot wait to experience! I believe we're around 50+ days until such trip. :)
Lately I've been having LOST dates with my fellow traveler and we've started to make it a habit of talking about our plans to Italy, Paris, London and Germany right after we finish a quick wrap-up of the LOST episode we just finished watching. We are planning to go trip shopping sometime next week just to make sure we don't miss out on taking the essentials, especially for our red eye flight: a travel pillow, blanket and an eye mask. I got the idea of buying the travel flight kit from another blog. While we are still trying to decide and arrange our itinerary in specific detail, we get more enthusiastic and anxious about the places we'd like to see. I know we have to accomplish this itinerary a.s.a.p so we can take advantage of the time we'll be there.
Among other things happening on this trip is that I will become the godmother of a beautiful girl named Vittoria. She is my cousin's daughter and while taking advantage of my trip, such event will be taking place. I've never been a godmother and being 24, it makes me feel like I'm taking a big responsibility that I'm looking forward to! I have yet to officially meet her, but I've seen many pictures of her and she looks like an absolute sweetheart! I cannot wait to meet her.

so far, not good
Ok... so I haven't exactly kept up with what I said I was going to do this year. It's only been accomplished half way or barely started. In terms of my getting healthy in 09 plan... I started off great and slowly began to decrease in the motivation and work out regimen I had intended to pursue to complete my task. I still work out, but not 5 times a week like I began with. What a disappointment! I've barely worked out once this week and thats because I forced myself to take the dust out of my transfirm stepper and put on one of the FIRM work outs. Although it was only 30 mins of a workout, they surely know how to make every minute of it worthwhile! I surely woke up sore yesterday and kind of happy in knowing it meant I had a good workout. Yesterday was my day off, so I chose to not do much. That included skipping another workout. Today I cannot let myself off the hook and I have to do my aerobics or something. No excuses!
In terms of my eating habits... I've gotten a little bit better. I'm definitely trying to stay off all those no-nos of fast food, extra carbs and unhealthy oils. Yes, I do cheat, but when I do, I don't over indulge. I'm happy to say I'm definitely more aware of what I am eating and trying to still make the healthier choices. One thing I have done is eat more fruit. It satisfies my sweet tooth, but nothing can replace chocolate so I try to at least indulge in having some dark chocolate every now and then. I think if everything is done in moderation, you'll be happy and you'll see results. I definitely just need to step up on my exercise regimen. Exercise doesn't make me too happy to begin with, but once I'm done, it feels good.
Lastly, I did go out and buy some art materials, which made me really happy. However, I have yet to remove the wrapping and make some use of them. I will this week, that's my goal.
Ok, wish me luck in my endevours. I have just a couple months left until my vacation so I want to make an improvement in what I've set out to do for myself.

what a funk
hmmm... I am currently at work just trying to think of what I can do in the next upcoming months. Granted, I have my exciting trip coming up, but I want to do something else. I am hoping to become a great interior designer, but will not be following in the footsteps of auditioning for those famous shows on BRAVO or HGTV. I'm not a camera person. haha. Speaking of which, part of my plan this year is to try something new. I'd rather not say until I'm actually doing it... but we'll see how it goes!

I think I might just take a trip to an art supply store in the next upcoming weeks and just purchase canvas, paint brushes, paint, pencils, charcoal, etc... and just be artsy. I've always loved art and I think that's one of the reasons I like Interior Design. It's a stress reliever! I might just start designing my own rooms, etc and build my own portfolio. Why I hadn't done it before is beyond me.... but I will get to it and hopefully by the end of the year, I have something to show! It'll help me get better in every way :)
Speaking of art... I'm really REALLY excited to go and experience all the different architecture not only in my city, but in Europe! I'll post the places where I'm looking forward to go to next time.
Well, besides being in some funk in regards to what I want to do with my lifeeee... I am glad of the changes that have happened so far.

Snow Day and what it brings...
Ok, so I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was hit with the snow, freezing temps, and freezing rain recently. I actually don't mind it much. One thing I didn't find myself fond of was the freezing temperatures that caused my car to be covered in this thick layer of ice I found yesterday morning. Just the thought of having to deal with it... wasn't exactly thrilling. Don't get me wrong, I love the snow. I love watching it fall. Having some hot cocoa while it happens and see how beautiful it truly is. I love taking pictures of it, etc.
(granted, these were taken with my phone -not the best quality, but it was pretty :)
The consequences is what I don't like. I don't want to complain any more, but lets just say this is what many people around the East coast had to deal with the past couple of days...
Therefore, it makes me realize how thankful I am that in a few months, I'll be flying to a nice decent vacation that I think is well deserved! :)
80+ days to go...

Part of the plan

I don't know what it is about 2009, but it's like Obama said during his campaign: It's time for Change. Before I go on to today's post, I do have to say that watching his inauguration yesterday was awesome! I can definitely see how he's inspired an entire country to come together and in spite of the status of the country, I know that God will use Obama for the country to come out of the rut it's in. We must trust in God and believe He's got great plans for the U.S.A., but the American people definitely need to understand things cannot be changed to become a prosperous country in one day, a week, a month or a year. It takes time.
Anyway, enough of my rant... I'm sure everyone knows that. My blog is meant to talk about my days 'til my first European trip, which will happen in about 3 months! Wow! The days are definitely passing by faster!
Part of my plan to prepare for my trip is to get healthier. I'm not in the greatest of shape and to be honest, I haven't really been most of my life. Again, I don't know what it is about 2009, but it's definitely a year of change. A positive one, of course. My motivations to get healthier are not only to feel good about myself physically, but for my own health also. Mainly I've decided on removing my old habits for my own benefit. I have to take care of myself. Besides, I'm a daughter of the Almighty and as such, I have to remember that His spirit lives in me, thus my body is a temple that I need to take care of. I need to be healthy in body, mind and spirit. It all works together and one cannot function well without the other. While I won't bore you with specifics of my "getting healthy in '09" plan, I can definitely say that my number one inspiration is God. He has definitely helped me in being able to quit the bad habits and instead replace them with healthy ones or trying to, at least.
I'm only in week 3, but I feel a difference. You know how often people say how working out makes them feel energized? It's TRUE! All the stress is released and while it can be exhausting... the feeling you get of knowing you've gotten a step closer to becoming a healthier person, makes you want to continue. At least that's how I feel. I can definitely say that although my relationship with exercise has been a love/hate relationship for many years... I'm definitely starting to like it more than I used to. Granted, it's not all the time, but little by little it's getting better. I do have my days where I go "ah, I can skip it today! It won't hurt." Which isn't the greatest idea sometimes, but I guess I can have them once in a while, right?
I also keep in mind that quitting junk food, while it's comforting and somewhat delicious, I don't want to keep putting toxins in my body. I don't want to keep putting unhealthy fats and empty calories in my body. I want my body to function to its fullest by consuming what it's healthy. So cliché, I know... but once you find that something that opens your eyes and makes you realize what you're doing to your body, the only one you have, it's a slap in the face. All I can say is, I'm glad that God allowed me to see what I refused to see for myself for too long. Besides, my other inspiration is the reward of the yummy food I'll be able to taste in my European medley coming up. How awesome is that!? :) Not to mention that I want to feel proud of myself by the time I celebrate my 25th birthday!
Okay, okay, enough of the getting healthy post. I will continue my plan and update you sporadically.
I bid you adieu for now.

Lets give this a shot.

This is my second attempt at keeping a blog. I first created one by request for a trip to Los Angeles. Not that big of a deal, right? It was, but that was about 4 years ago and another blog that failed. Miserably.
Anyway, the reason for starting a new blog is much more significant, so I think this one has a higher success rate!
It'll be my first trip to Europe to one of the countries I've longed to visit for YEARS. Luckily, I'm going to with one of my best friends. Country of choice? Italy. We've shared this dream for quite some time and we're ecstatic that we're blessed to be going together and that it's FINALLY happening!
I've known Paula for, gosh, I want to say 8 years. She may correct me, but for the time being, lets stick to 8 years. Throughout our years of friendship we always said we'd go together. Years came and went, granted we weren't in a financial situation where we could both say "Let's go to Italy this year," but we knew we'd make it. I don't know why, but sometime late last year something within me just said "2009 is it! I don't know how or when, but I'm going to make it happen! Italy, HERE I COME!" So I told Paula, she jumped on the enthusiastic wagon and joined in my desire to finally make it happen.
We began looking at flights, week by week. Prices were high, so we kept looking. Finally we were able to find a reasonable price for both of us. We booked our flights in October for a Spring trip. I also thought it'd be a great opportunity to use it as an additional excuse to celebrate my birthday. What could be better than celebrating my birthday in a place I've dreamed of going to for so long?! You may be thinking, why this birthday? What makes it so different than my previous ones? Well, I know a lot of people will roll their eyes for what I'm going to say, but I think to some point you might understand. I will be turning 25. 2-5. That's a quarter of a century! That's a BIG number. To me, at least. Oh, I know I'm still young, but it's a big number, nonetheless.
So, here I am... in a few months, this trip is going to become a reality. What a blessing, indeed! I still cannot believe it and I probably still won't believe it until I'm actually there. Being able to see Italy in all its beauty!
Ah, but it doesn't just end there. Of course we'll be taking advantage that we'll be in Europe and visit as many countries as time and our wallets allow us to see! If you have any tips, please feel free to drop a line and all suggestions are appreciated!
